Before today, VaultSort worked on one folder or file at a time. Want to organize your Downloads, Desktop, and Documents folders? That meant three separate operations. Three times clicking through the UI. Three times waiting.

For power users managing dozens of project folders, client directories, or backup locations, this was a bigly huge bottleneck.

Introducing Multi-Selection & Batch Operations

With this update, you can now:

📁 Select Multiple Folders & Files

Click the new Layers icon in the toolbar to access the Multi-Selection Menu. Add as many paths as you need — folders, files, or a mix of both.

⚡ Run Operations in Batch

Once you've built your selection, run any VaultSort operation across all items at once:

Organize — Apply your organization rules to multiple folders simultaneously
Deduplicate — Find duplicates across your entire selection, not just within a single folder
Encrypt/Decrypt — Secure multiple files or folders in one operation
Secure Delete — Safely wipe multiple items with a single click

💾 Save & Load Selections

Working with the same set of folders regularly? Save your selection for instant recall later. Perfect for:

Weekly project cleanups
Monthly archive organization
Regular client folder maintenance

🔐 Smart Password Caching

For encrypted batch operations, enter your password once. VaultSort securely caches it for the duration of your batch job — no repeated prompts interrupting your workflow.

How It Works

Open the Multi-Selection Menu — Click the Layers icon (visible in the toolbar or on the startup screen)
Build Your Selection — Add folders and files from anywhere on your system - or you can just drag multiple items onto the Secure and Organize sections. You can also select multiple items from the Directory Browser.
Choose Your Operation — Organize, deduplicate, encrypt, or securely delete
Watch It Go — VaultSort processes everything in sequence with clear progress feedback
