VaultSort receives a 92% "Excellent" rating from MacSources

I'm excited to share some great news.

VaultSort was recently reviewed by MacSources, an established publication covering Apple hardware, software, and accessories—and they awarded VaultSort an Excellent rating of 92%.

For an independent developer, having your work thoroughly evaluated by a respected publication is incredibly rewarding.

The review also put VaultSort through extensive real-world testing across internal SSDs, external drives, and NAS storage, evaluating everything from organization and duplicate detection to encryption and performance. During the review, a scalability bug surfaced while scanning nearly 790,000 files. I was able to investigate it, redesign the reporting engine, and ship a fix before the review was published—a great example of how valuable thorough independent testing can be.

What's Next

My entire focus right now is on bringing VaultSort to Windows.

Development has been progressing extremely well, and I'm happy with where things stand. The goal is feature parity with the Mac version while preserving the same emphasis on speed, privacy, and a polished user experience.

If everything continues on schedule, I expect the Windows version to be ready within the next few weeks.

I'm looking forward to finally bringing VaultSort to a much larger audience.
